How I Survived An NBA Offseason

Well the FIBA games are over. The summer league is done. The draft came and went. Free Agency 2010 came through as a giant wind, and now is a brisk breeze. I'll admit, its been a wild and interesting summer. No one expected LeBron, Bosh, and Wade all to join one team. No one expected the Wizards to get the 1st pick in the draft. I sure as hell didn't expect any of this. Some has made me happy, and some has made me disappointed. But its gotten very boring. So how did I keep myself occupied through this offseason? Well, I'll tell you.
Its been a rough ride ever since the Lakers won the NBA Championship back in June. It seems like that was such a long time ago, doesn't it? After saving picture after picture after picture to my computor of Kobe Bryant, Derrick Rose, and all the newly signed free agents, its gotten boring. I thought that because this whole summer of Lebron was coming our way, I thought it was going to be a fun and seemingly short offseason. Boy was I kidding myself. I thought entertaining myself with replays of NBA classic games, looking through NBA photo albums, keeping up with offseason blogs, and playing an NBA 2K10 season was going to keep me occupied. It didn't. I've said it before and I'll say it again.. IT GOT BORING!
So what exactly were some of the activities I did to pass the time until late October? I read books, did some summer school work, played a lot of basketball, and took a trip to Wisconson. Not bad at all. But that only passes some time. I had created this "blog" to get recognized by a small "fan base". And I'm happy I've got what I've wanted. So along with doing my thing with this blog and posting on Twitter, I did a lot of other things. I was doing some NBA Draft coverage and tweeting, doing live chats, doing fantasy rosters, and putting in my predictions to as where the free agents were going to find homes. That kept me busy for a long time.
Really I've just been getting bored these past few days. I was pretty entertained with the FIBA games, and congrats to Turkey and the USA by the way. It was a great tournament all around and had some special friends go through the Turkey vs Serbia semi with me! And how can I forget my ultimate NBA offseason buddies! The Basketball Jones! J.E Skeets and Tas Melas! What more can I ask for!
Well now that school has started for me and my friends, I guess it should take no time until October gets here and soon we will be watching some very exciting NBA basketball. I thank all the fans I have and all the people who even read what I post. I don't know who knows me or even likes what I do, but I appreciate you anyways. Well thats my story on how I survived an NBA offseason. Hopefully next summer will be even better! Melo, I'm looking at YOU!
