The story broke about an hour ago by Dan Gelston, an AP Sportwriter, that Allen Iverson's manager Gary Moore says that because no NBA team has contacted Iverson and with training camps in less than two weeks, there is a "legitimate interest" Iverson and the Chinese team.
Former NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury also joined a Chinese team after the Celtics released him 2 seasons ago. Marbury re-signed with his team in the past few months and reports have it that he declined joining the newly rebuilt Miami Heat squad. He also went to China to promote his shoe line; Starburys. Because Iverson is signed for life by Reebok, I don't think Iverson is going to China for any other reason besides to play basketball.
